Vacation Bible School, Flea Market, Mother's Day and more...
We hope you are well! As things continue to open up more and more, we wanted to share with you some needs, and some information on upcoming events happening in and around St Cecilia's.
God Bless you!
VACATION BIBLE CAMP
(VBC/VBS): VBC offers us the opportunity to break away from the traditional classroom learning environment. We missed the opportunity to share our faith with a different approach last summer because of COVID restrictions.
We would like to offer this opportunity to our children this summer the week of AUGUST 9
In order to offer Vacation Bible Camp (VBC/ VBS) we need your help. We need:
Junior crew members
- to guide/lead the younger children (grades 6-8)
- Journey through the adventure with the children
- Share the message of the day- guidance and script (don’t need to memorize) provided
- Able to take pictures and create short re-cap of the day video
If you can help every day, a few days or if you have some questions reach out to Paula at 978-537-6541 or
or complete the online form, or even the attached form and return it to the rectory -170 Mechanic St. via the collection basket, email, postal mail or dropping it off. This only works if we have enough volunteers to help, so we look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!

St. Cecilia Flea Market
Mark your calendars!
Our Spring Flea Market will be held on
Saturday, May 15, from 8am to 3pm!
We are still accepting items if you are doing any spring cleaning. Please consider putting aside some items for us.
We would be happy to receive any holiday decorations, dishes, knock-knacks, religious items, sports memorabilia, DVDs, toys, canning jars, jewelry, children's books, etc.
Unfortunately we cannot accept computers, monitors, TVs, electrical appliances, padded furniture, VHS tapes, cassettes, clothing, or shoes.
Upcoming drop off times:
Saturday May 1 from 9:30am to 12 noon
Monday May 3 from 5pm to 7pm
This year we'll have
initiatives kicking off on or around
The first is the popular
on Mother's Day Weekend, to support "
" in Worcester. This year the rose drive will be a "virtual" drive via a "
Go Fund Me
" campaign. To participate, please follow the link
The second is our longstanding support of "
First Concern Pregnancy Resource Center
" and their
fundraiser. This will be an "in person" fundraiser, but will
have the option of joining "
," too. The bottles will be placed in the Church on Mother's Day weekend, and will be collected "
as you fill them
" or by Father's Day weekend, at the latest. There will be an option to join virtually, too, when it kicks off.
Both these organizations seek to help abortion vulnerable women with education, support, material goods, ultrasounds, etc. Please participate in both, if possible, or one at least! Thank you for your kind consideration.
Additional Rosary Opportunity in May
The month of May is dedicated to the
Blessed Virgin Mary
, and in honor of her throughout the month we will be saying the Rosary
before the 4pm Mass
on Saturday's Vigil, and
before the 7am Mass
on Sunday. Please consider coming to Mass a little early and joining us!
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
